What Is This Website?
Jean Oostrom is a brain injury survivor. May 13, 1997 at 4 a.m. in the morning Jean woke up with paralysis on the right side of her body. Over the next 13 years she has tried to come to terms with her survival from that brain injury.
The purpose of the website is to provide a place were brain injured people can come and get information that could make their recovery a little easier. It is also a place where caregivers of the brain injured person can come and collect information and an insight on how to help their mom, dad, brother, sister, son, daughter, wife, husband, or friend.
Jean shares her story and her steps to recovery from a candid and honest point of view. She also shares all the alternative therapies she has tried, the books she has read and how even today 11 years later she still sees recovery in little ways.
